oh now is the start

ynna + preston // treats // xoxo // y  & p

Last night was my last time sleeping in my bed as Ynna Padilla. Tonight Preston and his mom fly into Philly!!!!!!!!! Tomorrow we set up the venue, shoot bridals and drive to DC. Friday we wed. WHAT?! Yes. 2 days I marry my best friend in the world. It's insane because this day has been consuming my thoughts since December and now it's less than 48 hours away.

Also last night, the Bennett family threw me the sweetest bridal shower in their lovely home. Sister Bennett is a second mother to me and it was so fun to celebrate with her and the women in my ward and Lancaster friends. It's been so nice to be home with the people I've grown up with my whole life and feeling such an outpour of love and support.

So yeah. I'm getting married on Friday. littleynna(kutney).blogspot.com

six

Today was a very special day because I went through the temple for the first time. It was probably the most unique experience of my life so far, and sometimes felt overwhelming, however, I also felt an incredible sense of love the entire time- from my parents, the temple workers and especially the Lord. The DC temple is one of my favorite spots on earth and holds so much meaning in my heart. It was where my family was sealed, where I did baptisms for the first time, and now where I have taken my endowments and where I will be married. I didn't think it was possible, but I am even more excited to get married there than ever before. Today was like one big, happy, ongoing reminder of what is in store for me this Friday. We are down to single digits! 6 days until I am Mrs. Preston Kutney forever. I am giddy with excitement.

mr. & mrs. orme

just married // the most perfect bride // bridesmaids // kylie orme // sparkling // mixed brothers club

On June 8 my best friend Kylie Cox became Kylie Orme. Kylie and Danny were married in the Salt Lake Temple at 1:40 in the afternoon. It was the most perfect day. Kylie is the first of my close friends to get married and I am so glad I got to be a part of her special day. I attended a rehearsal dinner the night before, which was lovely and full of heartfelt moments and tears. When people ask me about the wedding, I can't help but gush over it. It was so beautiful and glam. First of all, the dress Kylie wore out of the temple is one of my favorite wedding gowns I've ever seen, and it was even more spectacular in person. Thanks Vera Wang. Kylie had all of the bridesmaids pick out gold dresses and we were easily the most glam bridal party on Temple Square. The dress Kylie wore for her reception was just as lovely and you can't see it, but it had the most adorable bow in the back. Her reception was unreal. It was in the Natural History Museum of Utah and was the coolest, chicest venue I've ever been to. She really didn't need to decorate at all because the museum was already so unique. The decorations that were used were incredibly pretty and simple. Tinge Floral did her flowers and Alex Steele photographed. I was excited to hang out with Alex because she will be photographing my wedding in 11 days. It was also cool to experience a wedding from the start to finish and get an idea of the things I need to do and remember. I'm so happy for Kylie and Danny. They are the sweetest couple and so in love with each other. Congrats friends, I love you!

And they have a blog.

there's a science to walking through windows

eva's bakery // ken sanders rare books // ken sanders shelves // beauties

On Tuesday I had an appointment in Salt Lake which didn't last very long, so I took myself on a day date. I highly recommend this. There's something therapeutic and soothing about taking your sweet time shopping, eating and browsing. First I went to Gateway and City Creek and bought things and tried on dresses I never intended to buy. Then I had lunch at Eva's Bakery. I've seen it on Instagram so many times and have been so curious, so I satisfied my curiosity with lunch outside. It was pretty good, but nothing outstanding. Very cute ambiance though, and I'm sure they had delicious pastries. Finally I wandered into Ken Sanders Rare Books on my way out. One of my friends took her engagements here and ever since she posted them, I've wanted to visit. It's a bookworm's dream. Shelves and shelves of every book imaginable and every shelf was spilling over. My favorite section was the leatherbound collectibles. I dream of someday having a Beauty and the Beast library filled with these books and a ladder to get to the tallest shelves.

Today I was in Salt Lake again for Kylie's bridal luncheon. Tomorrow is her rehearsal dinner and Saturday is her wedding! It's going to be such a beautiful day, I can't wait. On the way to Salt Lake today I listened to the new Phoenix and The National albums. I really love Trouble Will Find Me
These last few days are going by so quickly. I want to freeze and fast forward time.

hold me in your everlasting arms

ynna camps // fishy lake friends // the shady lady crew // preston dreamy // baby's breath // topknot nation // mona // picnic

Last week in Provo as Ynna Padilla. Ahhh!!! Memorial Day weekend I went camping with Preston, Callan and Grady at Fish Lake. I hate camping but this wasn't so bad, minus freezing my @$$ off Saturday night. On Memorial Day we went sailing on Grady's newly named sailboat The Shady Lady. (I came up with that gem.) Preston and I pressed some flowers a few weeks ago and we decided to frame them this weekend. Aren't they gorgeous? I actually helped with these. Yesterday was 90 degrees so we went to Mona and went off the rope swing and had a picnic lunch. It was a perfect afternoon. I sure do love Provo summer.
I'm getting married in 18 days. I'm going home to Lancaster in 6. I like the not-so-new Vampire Weekend album. I have a headache probably because I woke up before 10 AM today. My best friend's getting married this Saturday. I love this month.
